    Uh Oh, it's the Turbo!
The Mini Cooper R56 platform is simply an amazing car. However like all small displacement high performance motors, they can be problematic. Aggressive driving can often take it's toll and on a turbo car, it can be brutal. Weaknesses can be discovered but what do you do to keep the car on the road while working out the fix?

    Jim's 67' Chevelle
Remember the 60ies style muscle cars? The old 55 Chevy or that Nova with the straight front axle. You know, the one that ran open headers... ran in the 10's for the 1/4 mile.... had those big wide rear tires? Yea, com'on you remember.... those GASSERS! Where there is SMOKE!!!
Standing in the garage.... where there is smoke... there is most likely a late model Ford with it's electrical parts on FIRE! What can happen when Ford electronics decide to go bad and thank the Lord, Ford uses lot's of fuses. Ok, so from the ashes we find ourselves a reason to UPGRADE!!! Will a 1998 Cobra Intrument Cluster fill the void and be a bolt on refresh??

    CD Ignition upgrade
Why a CD Ignition? Guess we are gonna have to talk a little physics before discussing the installation of a MSD CD box and Accel Mopar coil into a Jeep XJ without cutting the factory harness. Can we say roadside assistance avoidance? (or NOT! seems Accel isn't up to the task... long term testing blow's the spark from two Accel coils, is the HyperTech up to the energy?)

Find it here and read about it at the Chop Shop, home of the DIY, low-buck and lot's of luck garage. We do this because we can't afford to pay someone else to. Besides, everything needs to be re-engineered.
